Inspired by the idyllic scenes of Savannah, Georgia, Jennifer captures the beauty of the squares, parks and homes around her and recreates them using fabrics, threads and fibers.
Colors are carefully selected to emphasize the glow and beauty of each scene, focusing on what drew her to Savannah five years ago – art, culture, history, and green space.
Each piece is created with up to 20 hours of work and is finely finished with backing, binding, and a hanging sleeve for display.
Near the river, where the path parts, stands the Lawton Gateway
The locals call it the ‘Murder House’, I call it beautiful.
One of the many beautiful live oak trees in Savannah Georgia draped in spanish moss. This one is located at the SW corner of Daffin park near Washington Ave and Waters Ave.
A view from below, this live oak graces the edge of Daffin Park’s green. Draped in spanish moss with a whisper of clouds in the sky.
A view of the edge on Greyson Stadium from midfield on the sports green. Resurrection moss holding onto green from recent rains.
